Knowledge translation is the process of creating and sharing knowledge as well as supporting its ethical application. The purpose of knowledge translation is to get the right evidence, to the right people, at the right time to enable evidence-informed decision making. This is important because health programs and policies that are informed by evidence are more effective, cost-efficient, minimise harm, and contribute to improved health outcomes.
